Andrea Davies
Andrea Davies is the regional registrar at Massey University, Albany which is located on Auckland’s North Shore. Massey University has three campuses: Albany, Manawatu & Wellington, plus a strong extramural programme.

Supporting staff and students has always been a top priority for Massey and evidently, Massey University became New Zealand’s first tertiary institution to offer a fully sponsored personal money management tool Who Stole My Money to all their staff and students.

"I have always understood the importance of budgeting but never bothered with a finance system for tracking my own money. I didn’t have the time which was really quite a lazy attitude when I think about it", laughs Andrea. "When I was first shown Who Stole My Money, I was instantly captured by its innovative simplicity. I loved the 'community intelligence' which makes the programme very intuitive. Immediately I could see the benefits for our staff and students including myself. In the current global recession, I knew others would also benefit from using this tool", says Andrea.

In a large organisation such as Massey University, you can expect differing views on the introduction of a new initiative such as Who Stole My Money. The response from staff has been extremely positive with a significant higher participation rate than the University expected.

"Financial wellbeing is vital for everyone. As a caring and responsible organisation, Massey University is keen to extend its support to our people beyond the workplace." "We are very proud to be the first organisation to offer such a practical money management tool to our staff and students." boosts Andrea.

"The uptake rate at both the workshops and the WSMM's budgeting program has exceeded our expectations."

"To top it off, Who Stole My Money is supported by a very responsive support team which means that our staff & students will get the help they need when they need it. All in all, our relationship with Who Stole My Money is a win-win for all those involved."
